On February 16, 2007 I officially became Mom to Reese. I had been in the hospital since February 1st, so I had time to get used to the idea that it was unlikely he'd wait until May to be born as originally planned. Of course they tell you what to expect to happen, but since it's the first time it doesn't mean a lot. He was whisked away an adjoining room before I even realized he was out and then they raced away to the NICU before I could catch a glimpse.

June 26, 2009 Angus was born at 38 weeks. This time was a scheduled c section. I basically knew what to expect. I think everyone else was more relaxed (I think I was more anxious about the procedure) and there was much more talking about what was going on. When they held him up over the drape I thought holy cow he looks smaller than I expected, but a cow compared to Reese. ha ha a cow in comparison...tee hee.
Now our sweet boys have grown so much! Reese is already 3 years old and Gus is 10 months!! They are both joyful cuties! We are so happy to have such wonderful babies! We love them so much!

Absolutely love the comparison of your two handsome sons... what an amazing difference those extra weeks make, eh? And isn't it fun to see Gus wear Reese's clothes? G's wearing stuff now (at 11 months-- she's in 12 month clothing) that C wore when she was almost 2. :) OH, but wait... I think your boys are actually a little closer in size to each other than my girlies... so maybe it's not as dramatic? Either way... I'm rambling, but I loved the post!!
