Vacation Fun Center

At the same place we went bowling in Bend, Oregon we also did arcade type stuff. Gus couldn't quite figure out how to do ski ball. He preferred walking all over it. Reese could only get the ball to the edge, but not quite over the lip into the hole. It was funny, but Mommy and Daddy earned lots of prize tickets on this one. Reese and Daddy did this sit inside video game where you shoot the dinosaurs.
Reese really got into air hockey. In fact I think he actually beat Kyle once.

Gus particularly enjoyed the driving games. I did not put money in, I just let him play on the sample game and he happily shifted gears until his heart was content.

Reese actually rode this motorcycle one. He probably would've been happy with no money put in as well, but he tried it out for real and thought it was pretty cool.
Afterwards we turned in our tickets for some prizes...candy and bubbles. Everyone loved this place. We will definitely go back whenever we return to Central Oregon.

Bowling

After the shutdown scare traumatized us for a couple of days we headed out to Central Oregon for vacation at Kyle's parents' timeshare.
Their weather was about the same as ours...crappy. The boys still had a great time playing outside on the playground (I stayed inside with the fireplace.) We also found some indoor fun.
The boys went bowling for the first time.

The wind up.
Eying the playing field.
Check out the follow through.
Gus was so cute in his bowling shoes watching everyone take their turn.
He did end up needing to use the metal ball aimer thingy.

Just look at Gus's first ever score, pretty sweet! Reese got that 59 straight out throwing the ball (we did have the bumpers up.)
Honestly the boys were done after about 4 frames, but since we paid we went ahead and made them finish. They did have quite a bit of fun and we had some yummy snacks.

Little Chef

Gus just loves to pull out the pans and tote them around the house for his cooking experiments. On this particular day Gus sat on the carpet in the living room right at the kitchen doorway while I cooked.
Sometimes though, he drags his cookware all over. I've found my asparagus pot in his laundry hamper, a frying pan sitting on the toilet seat, and pans mixed in with toys.
He just grunts and groans as he lugs the heavy ones around. It cracks me up!
