Books

Just so you know I'm telling you this because I just can't bring myself to go down to the basement to get my camera and load the photos to accompany a blog post and I have been unsuccessful at hinting to my hubby that I sure would like my camera brought up. And perhaps you are interested in finding a new author so this could help you. None of these are going to win the nobel prize for literature, but I liked them. For a pretty significant time my book reading could be summed up as few and far between. But in January I started going to UW every 3 weeks which means an hour ferry ride plus sitting in line and waiting in the doctor's office. During that time I was also going to my regular OB every 3 weeks, then every 2 weeks, then every week and now twice a week---and he's super busy, so more waiting room time. AND Reese is finally interested in independent play. So all this equals lots of reading time. Since the last week of January I have read:
Jodi Picoult: Change of Heart and 19 minutes--can't wait for Handle With Care in paperback
Jefferson Bass: Carved in Bone, Flesh and Bone, The Devil's Bones--really like these guys--one is the ACTUAL Body Farm guy!
Nevada Barr: Borderline--I've been reading this series since college
Patricia Cornwell: The Book of the Dead and Scarpetta
James Patterson: 7th Heaven and The 8th Confession
Karin Slaughter: Triptych--a bit gruesome but I just can't put down a good murder mystery
Gary Ezzo: On Becoming Toddler Wise

hmm.......I think there may have been more but these 12 are what I can remember. I've also read some of, but not finished The Omnivore's Dilemma and What to Eat. Of course I also read magazine: Entertainment Weekly, Parents, Parenting, Redbook, Body + Soul and Nutrition Action Newsletter.

So I have 3 weeks and a day left to be the mother of a single toddler. Any books you think I MUST read in that time frame before I go back to being the non-reading of adult fiction mother of a newborn? I do read non-murder mystery books too by other authors than just Jodi Picoult so feel free to recommend them too.
